# How to Activate Your Norton Product Key from Best Buy

> Follow this step-by-step guide to activate your Norton subscription using a retail product key purchased at Best Buy or another store.

When you buy a Norton product at a retail store like Best Buy, your purchase comes with a product key — a unique 25-character code that links your physical or digital purchase to a Norton account. Activating your product key is an essential step: it registers your subscription, unlocks your plan's features, and lets you download and install Norton on your device. The process takes just a few minutes and only needs to be done once.
