Get Started with Norton

New to Norton? Getting up and running takes just a few minutes. Follow the steps below to go from purchase to fully protected.
1

Purchase or Activate Your Subscription

Choose the Norton plan that fits your needs at norton.com or pick up a retail box at a store like Best Buy. If you purchased a retail product, locate your 25-character product key from the card inside the box or your confirmation email, then visit norton.com/BestBuy to activate it.
2

Download and Install Norton

Sign in to your Norton account at my.norton.com and select Download. Run the installer on your Windows PC, Mac, Android, or iOS device and follow the on-screen prompts. Norton will guide you through the full setup process in just a few clicks.
3

Stay Protected Around the Clock

Once installed, Norton runs quietly in the background — scanning for threats, blocking malicious websites, and keeping your personal information safe. Enable automatic updates to make sure you always have the latest virus definitions and security features.
Keep your Norton subscription active to maintain uninterrupted protection. When your subscription is about to expire, Norton will notify you so you can renew and avoid any gaps in coverage. An expired subscription means your device is no longer receiving real-time threat protection or the latest updates.
